Žilina, August 3, 2023. His Excellency Stanislav Raščan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Slovakia, visited the Servare et Manere Secretary-General today in Žilina as part of his business trip. One of the reasons for his visit was Slovenia’s interest in participating in the Žilina Literary Festival. The meeting began in the Bookstore Artforum, where the Ambassador discussed with the Vice Mayor of Žilina Ján Ničík. Subsequently, Stanislav Raščan, accompanied by Marek Sobola, moved to Sad na Studničkách park, where a commemorative linden tree was planted at the beginning of April 2023 for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Slovakia and Slovenia.

Among other topics, the discussants touched upon the planned planting of the Tree of Peace in Bled as well as the possibility of opening an Servare et Manere international office in Koper or Izola.
