Kragujevac, April 20, 2025. Trees are living elements and sometimes it can happen that a planted tree dries up for some reason. The last years marked by global warming have been characterized by hot and dry summers. It was no different in Serbia. Our Tree of Peace, planted on October 21, 2019 in Kragujevac, did not survive, and therefore a beautiful “replacement” was planted last November. The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Belgrade was responsible for the replanting, and the tree was personally planted by HE Michal Pavúk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Serbia.

The fact that the new tree is thriving was confirmed to us by a great supporter of the Tree of Peace project, Ambassador Ľubomír Rehák, holder of the highest Servare et Manere awards. Thank you for the wonderful photos!
