Žilina, December 31, 2022. From the rich activities of Servare et Manere in 2022, we select:
- Obtaining a Special Consultative Status within the UN Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC).
- Planting of 11 Trees of Peace in 10 countries of the world on 3 continents.
- Extension of the contract with the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the use of the GOOD IDEA SLOVAKIA brand for another period.
- Modification of the Servare et Manere Statute to place greater emphasis on the promotion of peace and friendship between nations.
- Adoption of the large alternative of the coat of arms and flag of Servare et Manere, which was completed the external heraldic and vexillological symbolism of the association.
- Organizing a public fundraiser to help the Kingdom of Tonga, which was affected by the eruption of the underwater volcano and the subsequent tsunami waves. The proceeds of the collection of 2,500 Tongan paʻangs (approximately €1,060) were symbolically handed over to Princess Lātūfuipeka Tukuʻaho, the only daughter of His Majesty Tupou VI, King of Tonga, through the Slovak Embassy in Canberra.
- We realized the Around-the-world expedition and the Tree of Peace initiative was expanded to Asia, Australia and Oceania.
- Co-organization of the International Peace Tree Relay Race through Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
- We published 49 press releases.
- For the first time in the history of the Slovak Republic, we imported rose seedlings of the ‘General Štefánik’ variety to French Polynesia.
- Establishing cooperation with the Romanian Armed Forces.
- Celebration of the 4th anniversary of the Tree of Peace international initiative with the participation of diplomats and church leaders from various countries
We participated in a scientific conference at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. - 210 official letters were sent.
- The website www.tofp.eu was visited by 3711 visitors from 103 countries, among which were the United States of America, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Australia and India.
- We completed 11 foreign business trips.
- We visited 9 countries.
- We met with ambassadors and diplomats of 22 countries.
- Servare et Manere granted 32 awards.
- Members of the association were received by the President of French Polynesia.
- Servare et Manere members were received in the Government House of New South Wales, as members of the first non-governmental association from Slovakia in its history.
- We met with 10 leaders of nations, church dignitaries or heads of Royal houses.
- All visits and events of Servare et Manere were mostly financed from the private resources of the management of Servare et Manere with the contribution of the Civic Association Starý Klíž, the Municipality of Divina village, the Town of Žilina, the Embassies of the Slovak Republic in Canberra, Oslo and Rome, as well as with the contribution of the Žilina Self-governing Region, the Diocese of Žilina and the Slovak Armed Forces.
