New York. On 27 March 2020 the United Nations Postal Administration issued a special event sheet to promote the ACT NOW Climate Action campaign. The sheet of 10 stamps in the denomination of US$ 1.20 feature 10 global actions that people can take in their daily lives to confront the climate crisis and help the planet. ACT NOW is the United Nations global call to individual action on climate change. The campaign is a critical part of the United Nations coordinated efforts to raise awareness, expand ambition and promote action for climate change and accelerate implementation of the Paris Agreement. The Tree of Peace project is currently getting another dimension as well. Our tree is not only a Tree of Peace, but also a Tree of Understanding, Tree of Life. We are now much more aware of the importance of a clean environment and we should protect our nature and its resources. By planting trees, we aim at drawing attention to the fragility, but also greatness of nature and our own weakness. The Tree of Peace is an excellent tool for this purpose. Our project also identifies with the ideas of the ACT NOW Climate Action campaign, which we supported by issuing a personalized special postage sheet with the Tree of Peace logo.
