Bratislava, August 24, 2021. Marek Sobola met the British Ambassador to Slovakia, H. E. Mr Nigel Baker OBE MVO, at the British Embassy in Bratislava. The negotiations on the possibilities of cooperation took place in a friendly atmosphere. The main topic of discussion was the planting of a memorial tree in Žilina on the occasion of the upcoming The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

There will be year-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022 throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world as communities come together to celebrate The Queen’s historic reign. In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old.
