Rep. n° 19/2024
Bratislava, February 11, 2025. Servare et Manere Secretary-General met today with His Excellency dr. Stanislav Raščan, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Slovakia. During the working meeting, both actors touched not only on several interesting topics and the possibility of establishing a Servare et Manere office in Koper, but also on the preparation of the international exhibition “The SLOVak–SLOVenian Dimension”, which will be hosted by the Kysuce Museum this time. Marek Sobola is responsible for the exhibition in this institution.
The exhibition presents cultural-historical and contemporary parallels and differences between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Slovenia. The aim of the exhibition is to point out similarities and differences in our cultural tradition, as well as in contemporary everyday life. Last but not least, the dimension of Christian culture and Christian everyday life is also important, which connects both nations not only in the historical flow of history, but Christian values connect Slovakia and Slovenia even today. In the Kysuce Museum, this unforgettable part of our common history will be presented. And that will be unique, because the exhibition will be supplemented with unique collection items and also loaned pieces that have never been exhibited to the public before!
The exhibition was jointly Patronized by the Bishops of Koper and Žilina, and we can already reveal that, in addition to both Bishops, more than 12 Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors from all over the world have confirmed their participation in the opening ceremony!
