Copenhagen, 29 September 2020. A great honour for the civic association Servare et Manere. On the occasion of her 80th birthday anniversary, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark received the highest award of the Servare et Manere association called the Tree of Peace Memorial Plaque. In the past, this award was also received by the President of the Slovak Republic, Madam Zuzana Čaputová. Unfortunately, the well-known complications caused by the Covid-19 pandemic have also affected the international Tree of Peace project and caused the postponement of the award ceremony.
His Excellency, Mr Miroslav Wlachovský, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Kingdom of Denmark, presented the Plaque on behalf of Servare et Manere to Mr Henning Fode, Private Secretary of Her Majesty the Queen in the Yellow Palace (Det Gule Palæ) on 29 September 2020. Mr Fode said that the Royal Palace considers this award as one of Her Majesty’s gifts for her 80th birthday this year. The Tree of Peace Memorial Plaque is a symbol of the highest gratitude which may only be granted to those who have made a special contribution to the spread of ideas of understanding and union among nations. This project also connects powerful women from around the world.
