Rep. n° 09/2024
Jankov vŕšok/Uhrovec, August 24, 2024. Jankov vŕšok (“Jankov hill”) above Uhrovec village comes alive every year during the celebration of the Slovak National Uprising. This year’s jubilee events were not missed by thousands of visitors, for whom the Trenčín Self-Governing Region and Uhrovec village prepared an exceptionally rich cultural program. The Secretary-General of Servare et Manere, who also holds the position of the Honorary Consul of Romania to Slovakia, represented His Excellency Călin Fabian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Slovakia, at this event. Marek Sobola, on behalf of the Romanian Embassy and the Romanian people, laid a wreath at the Monument near the Mound. It is extremely important to maintain the legacy of the Slovak National Uprising for future generations as well. Therefore, words such as heroism or peace and friendship were often used in the speeches of important guests.
